Challenge

Benchmark Technology Group have been ‘a leading provider of end-to-end branch technology solutions for financial services institutions’ for 25 years. Services offered by Benchmark include Asset Management software, Deployment and Logistics Management software, Equipment Remarketing and Fair Market Valuations.

Benchmark approached Vialect for a Call Tracking solution that would allow staff to input data into a custom-built form. With approximately 25 staff all taking calls, it was essential that an effective, inexpensive solution was achievable in a reasonable timeframe. Vialect began working with Benchmark’s Bob Anderson to analyse his company’s requirements and start designing a system that would solve the problems they were having.

An easy to setup, easy to use database system was essential in order for the incoming data to be recorded and managed, while also providing . “A knowledgebase was also required. Vialect provided both of these.”

Solution

Mr. Anderson was very specific in some of the needs that would need to be filled by an intranet portal. His staff take calls from clients who need equipment repaired or other services. Mr Anderson needed a system that would allow his members to enter information from incoming calls into Noodle and then notify him that there was something requiring his attention.

Noodle’s database application, combined with an email notification system, provided the team with the functionality they needed, in an easy to use environment. Staff members are now able to input information straight into the system for managers to act upon immediately and effectively. The system also utilizes Noodle’s Auto-Notification feature to alert staff that action needed to be taken, saving time for managers and money for the company.

Following close analysis of Benchmark’s requirements and processes, Vialect and Benchmark worked together to design an intranet system on the Noodle platform that would not only allow for immediate issues to be addressed, but also to provide a platform that could be utilized for other core business requirements when they arise.

Since the deployment of Noodle, Benchmark have expanded their site to allow the platform to provide more value to the company and Noodle has provided much more value than initially expected. “Communication was one issue that has been improved,” says a happy Mr. Anderson, “where information sharing is required we are seeing a great improvement.”

Following a very successful analysis, preparation and launch, Benchmark are now enjoying the value of a rich intranet platform that not only solves the problems they had when they first approached Vialect, but also offers expansion capabilities that can potentially solve other problems and needs that may arise in the future.
